Project 2
I thought that this assignment was fun. Normally English is all about writing papers, but this project emphasized how to reach your audience and that there are more genres besides flyers. I liked the memo because it made me think about what I planned on doing for the project. However, I thought that the process map should have been introduced earlier though; this way we can keep track of what we do because it was difficult to look back and remember. In addition, I decided not to email the person because it the the ISU career center and I did not think they would appreciate an undergraduate saying their flyer was not rhetorically affected. Overall I really liked this project.

Ahhh, you bring up an excellent point about the process maps! I was afraid to assign them with the project because I thought that would be too much at once to keep track of, however I may do this differently in the future.
ReplyDeleteAs for the process memos, I'm glad you liked this genre; I find it very useful. We will not do a process memo for this next project, but I've decided for Project 4 maybe and DEFINITELY project 5 we will use them. So you'll have two more chances possibly to hone your skills in accessing that genre.
