Rhetorically Affect??

The wording of the speeches to scholarship essay really stood out for me.  I liked how it a college student could relate to the text.  I also really liked the questions, because it forced the writer to think about the topic in depth and how to make it interesting for the audience without offending anyone.
The posters are trying to rhetorically convince their audience to help them achieve their goals, whether it was to buy their product or attend their meeting.  My least favorite would be the career fair, I thought it wasnt rhetorically affective.  My favorite would be the lemons on the string.  It caught the attention of the audience and made them want to stop to look at them.

Right now I will most likely want to revamp the career poster unless I find a better one.

  1. I'm glad to hear that the article resonated well! It's interesting that you state the audience's goal is the most important feature of a poster. Usually, we think the advertisers are trying to benefit themselves only, but you pose a great theory here! I agree with you to some extent certainly.

As for the rhetoric we saw in class, I have a feeling the lemons are going to be quite popular. As they should be, they provide us a unique and insightful piece of visual rhetoric!
