I really liked how there was no page requirements, because it gave us the freedom to write until our idea was clearly expressed. I was able to express my thoughts without having to write until I filled the minimum. However, I did not like how we were suppose to write about something that interested me, because it made finding resources difficult. Most of the information in the resources I used, I already knew. On the other hand it was nice to know that my existing knowledge was also supported by this sources.
I thought that the library day was sort of a waste of time. I already knew how to find credible sources due to the fact we did the same thing in my communications class. Although, I did use refworks in this paper and I found it very helpful when it came time to do my work cited page. I even compared it to what the apa website and refworks had all the appropriate citing requirements. However, I feel like the time in the library could have been better spent in the classroom.. We could have gone over refworks and then had a workday.
Thank you for telling me about the library visit. I shared similar sentiments about the library visit but I was happy we learned Refworks at least though we could have done that in class.
ReplyDeleteAh, the freedom of picking a topic can be weird, huh? I wanted to see what you all did with this project and I'm excited to read the results. Good post; it was really helpful for me!
